Lucknow Police lists 2025 actions: 110 wanted criminals held, 11,64,061 vehicles challaned, many more

Lucknow, December 28: The Lucknow Police of Uttar Pradesh achieved historic achievements in women’s safety, cyber control, crime prevention, and traffic improvement through Mission Shakti and smart policing in the year 2025. The police of the capital were successful in controlling organized crime by combining technology and speedy justice.

The Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (JCP- L&O) Bablu Kumar, stated that there was a decrease in murder cases this year compared to last year. Taking prompt action in serious cases like murder, Lucknow Police sent 525 accused to jail. Three accused were prosecuted under the NSA. Furthermore, due to effective police patrolling, there was not a single robbery incident this year.

110 wanted criminals arrested: The Lucknow Police Commissionerate has taken action against criminals to curb crime and arrest 110 wanted criminals. Of these, 55 criminals were arrested in an encounter. Three injured accused died during treatment.

JCP L&O told that Gangster action against 196, property worth Rs 4.90 crore seized Lucknow Police also broke the back of gangsters and mafias. Properties built illegally through organized gangs were seized. Within this one year, gangster action was taken against 196 accused in 41 cases. Taking action against 16 accused under 14 (1) Gangster Act, illegal property worth Rs 4 crore 90 lakh 48 thousand 35 has been seized. From 2020 till now, illegal property worth Rs 2 billion 21 crore 65 lakh 14 thousand 2 hundred 71 has been seized.

Death penalty to one culprit, life imprisonment to 46 culprits Under Operation Conviction run in the state by the Director General of Police, Lucknow Police Commissionerate was successful in getting 829 criminals punished by the court through effective advocacy. 139 perpetrators of serious crimes against women and girls were convicted. One perpetrator was sentenced to death, and 46 were sentenced to life imprisonment.

53 Mission Shakti Centers were established at each police station in Lucknow district to address crimes against women and provide immediate assistance and counseling. Responsible officers were allocated 53 dedicated CUG numbers to facilitate direct communication. 99 Pink Booths were established. Women beat in-charges and police visited public places to counsel women and girls. Prompt action was taken on complaints related to women, with an average response time of just 8 minutes. The Pink Booth team visited 53,244 locations and raised awareness among 296,340 people.

The Cyber โ€‹โ€‹Cell took action on 6,456 complaints. The Joint Commissioner of Police stated that, facing the challenges of the digital age, the Cyber โ€‹โ€‹Cell took prompt action on 6,456 complaints. The settlement rate was 90 percent. Approximately โ‚น11.68 crore was secured through refunds and freezes for citizens defrauded by cyber fraudsters.

Furthermore, to prevent future cybercrime, over 10,000 suspicious mobile numbers have been blocked. Through continuous monitoring of social media and the dark web, objectionable accounts have been removed and citizens have been made aware of cybersecurity.

Campaign Against Drug Abuse: Lucknow Police launched a drug-free campaign to protect the younger generation from the trap of drug abuse. During this campaign, strict action was taken against drug traffickers and smugglers. Police arrested 145 notorious smugglers and sent them to jail. A large consignment of narcotics worth crores of rupees was recovered from their possession. 187 accused involved in the manufacture and sale of illicit liquor were arrested. A total of over 31,000 liters of liquor was seized from them.

11,64,061 vehicles challaned: Lucknow Police has also taken action to improve traffic and against traffic rule violators. This year, the traffic police have challaned 11,64,061 vehicles. Challans have been issued to 2,62,373 vehicles that were disrupting traffic by parking in no-parking zones. A modern smart traffic management system has been implemented to address traffic jams in busy markets and major intersections. Accident-prone black spots have been identified to prevent accidents, and special safety improvements have been implemented using technology.
