Prayagraj, 01 May: The Allahabad High Court has made a strong comment on litigants who repeatedly ask for dates in cases and postpone the hearing.

The court said that generally the courts are held responsible for the delay in the decision in the cases. But it is surprising that when the citizens of the country come to the court as litigants, they enjoy it according to their purpose by asking for time in the case.

The court said that the delay in cases is due to the litigant public, which is dangerous. Neither is it talked about nor is it criticized. The court said, it is necessary to discourage this type of tendency.

Shailendra Prajapati has filed a PIL in the High Court regarding the occupation of the pond in Binduai village of Budhanpur tehsil of Azamgarh. An eviction order has already been passed regarding the possession.

Justice JJ Munir, who was hearing the case, had sought a report from the Tehsildar on compliance of the eviction order. On which the Tehsildar had sought more time through the government lawyer. On which, making the above comment, the court has ordered the Tehsildar to submit the report in three days or appear personally.
