Prayagraj, May 29: Light to moderate rain with sudden strong winds and thunder has been predicted on Thursday in 16 districts including Prayagraj and state capital Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
UP Meteorological Department has issued an alert and said that there is a possibility of lightning at some places.
According to the warning issued by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, India Meteorological Department Center Lucknow, there is a possibility of thunder, light rain, lightning in UP capital Lucknow, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Banda, Fatehpur, Barabanki, Sitapur, Bahraich, Balrampur, Shravasti, Fatehpur, Rae Bareli, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Lakhimpur Kheri.
According to the Meteorological Department, sudden winds can blow at a speed of 40 to 60 kilometres per hour at some places and at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour at some places.
