Firozabad, February 11: The Uttar Pradesh Police team of Rasulpur police station of Firozabad district of Uttar recovered two missing children safely and handed them over to their families on Wednesday, told police.
The recovered children had gone to Delhi by train instead of school fearing maths paper.
The CO City Praveen Tiwari said that on February 9, Dinesh and Vimal Kumar, residents of Nimbu Wala Bagh, Rasulpur police station, had informed Rasulpur police station that their children Krish (14), son of Dinesh Kumar, and Shaurya (11), son of Vimal Kumar, had left home for school at 9 am but had not returned yet.
The CO further told that on the instructions of the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Saurabh Dixit, three police teams were formed including Rasulpur police station in-charge Pradeep Kumar for the safe recovery of the children. The police team, in coordination with the GRP and RPF police teams at the railway station, received information during a search operation that the missing children had boarded a train and reached New Delhi Railway Station. Following this, the Rasulpur police team, using photographs and an extensive search operation, safely recovered the missing children from New Delhi Railway Station and presented them before the New Delhi CWC.
The CO city added that the recovered children were handed over to their families. Finding the children safe brought smiles to the faces of the families. The family members praised the work of the Firozabad police.
The CO stated that during interrogation, the children admitted that they had left school fearing a math exam and had boarded a train towards Delhi.
