‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is unstoppable at BO, Karan Johar’s big title film SSKTK falls flat at BO on 5th day

Rishab Shetty’s film ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ will be a blockbuster of the year as the film is getting tremendous response from the audience and that is why it has earned more than its budget in just 4 days of its release. Released in theatres on october 2, the film had a bumper opening on the first day itself and completely dominated the weekend.

According to a report by Sacnilk, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has done a business of Rs 61 crore on the fourth day of its release. The film earned Rs 61.85 crore on the first day, Rs 45.4 crore on the second day and Rs 55 crore on the third day. Made on a budget of approximately Rs 125 crore, the film has crossed the Rs 223.25 crore mark in just four days. Now, Rishab Shetty’s film is heading towards new records of profit.

‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is a prequel to the 2022 superhit film ‘Kantara’. The first film was made on a budget of just โ‚น15 crore, but after its release, it earned over โ‚น400 crore worldwide, making the producers rich. This time, Rishabh Shetty not only plays the lead role, but also serves as the film’s director and co-producer. Interestingly, on the very first day of ‘Kantara Chapter 1’s release, the makers officially announced its sequel, ‘Kantara Chapter 2’.

Actor Varun Dhawan and Jhanvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy film ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ has maintained its grip at the box office despite getting dull response from the audience. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, this film was released on October 2 and is slowly gaining momentum in theatres.

After a strong start on the first day, there was a slight decline on the second day, but as the weekend approached, the film again picked up its pace.

According to box office tracker Sacnilk, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ has earned Rs 7.75 crore on the fourth day of its release. The film had done a business of Rs 9.25 crore on the first day, Rs 5.5 crore on the second day and Rs 7.5 crore on the third day. In this way, the total earnings of Varun and Jhanvi’s film have reached โ‚น30 crore in four days.

Produced under the Dharma Productions banner, Varun Dhawan and Jhanvi Kapoor’s film “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” is said to have a budget of around โ‚น80 crore. However, in the four days since its release, the film has only earned โ‚น30 crore. Therefore, if the film is to be declared a hit, it will have to maintain its earnings momentum in the coming days. Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, and Manish Paul also appear in important roles alongside Varun and Janhvi in โ€‹โ€‹this romantic-comedy.
