Actor Rishab Shetty’s much-awaited film ‘Kantara – Chapter 1’ was released in theaters on October 2, on the special occasion of Dussehra. The film had a blockbuster start at the box office on its first day of release, breaking many old records. The film is receiving a great response from both audiences and critics. This film is a prequel to Rishab Shetty’s superhit film ‘Kantara’ released in 2022. Now the latest figures of the film’s first day earnings have also been revealed.
According to the box office report of box office tracker Sacnilk, ‘Kantara – Chapter 1’ made a great start on its first day of release, earning around โน60 crore. The film grossed around โน19-21 crore in the Hindi belt alone. It surpassed this year’s biggest opening Hindi films, “Chaava” (โน31 crore) and “Saiyaara” (โน22 crore). However, it fell slightly short of Pawan Kalyan’s “They Call Him OZ” (โน63.75 crore) and Rajinikanth’s “Coolie” (โน65 crore).
“Kantara – Chapter 1” is produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the banner of Hombale Films. Rishab Shetty plays the lead role and directs this prequel film.
Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram also appear in pivotal roles. The film is edited by Suresh, and the music is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath.
