Hamirpur, 04 January: A minor daughter of a female employee posted in a Jal Sansthan (department) was allegedly raped by a ‘suspended’ employee of the department. On the complaint of the victim’s family, the Sadar police station registered a case and arrested the accused employee on Sunday, police told.
The circle officer (CO) city Rajesh Kamal said that Abdul Salam alias Arif, an employee of the department, raped the minor daughter of a female employee posted in the Jal Sansthan under Maudaha area. The accused also made an objectionable video of the incident and threatened to make it viral and continued to do filthy things with the victim. On the complaint of this incident, a case has been lodged in Sadar Kotwali under serious sections. Today, the accused has been arrested and sent to jail and further legal action is underway.
Meanwhile, Rahul Singh, Executive Engineer of Chitrakoot Dham Jal Sansthan Hamirpur, stated that the accused employee used to send videos and abuse department officials and employees. This constituted indiscipline by sending objectionable videos. Following an investigation into the complaint, General Manager of Chitrakoot Dham Banda Division, Rajendra Yadav, suspended the accused employee three days ago.
