Indian woman’s body found in suitcase in Nepal

Kathmandu, August 24: The body of a woman has been recovered from an unclaimed suitcase in Nepal’s Rautahat district. It has been revealed that this dead woman is from Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The police have sent the body to the district hospital Rautahat for postmortem. The real cause of death will be known only after the forensic report and postmortem report are received.

DSP Karki of Rautahat district said that on Sunday morning, an unclaimed suitcase was found on the road at Gaur in the Indian border district Rautahat at around 8 pm on Saturday night, just two km inside the Indian border. At first, the police suspected it to contain explosives, but after the forensic team arrived, a woman’s body was found in it when the suitcase was opened. He said that the dead woman has been identified as 26-year-old Ruby Sah.

DSP Raju Karki said that the deceased woman had come to live with her four-year-old son at her maternal home in Madhavnarayan of Rautahat district two months ago and she was missing for two days. Her home is said to be Muzaffarpur in Bihar. Her husband still lives in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Police have sent the body of the woman to the district hospital Rautahat for post-mortem.

Police said that the real cause of death will be known only after the forensic report and post-mortem report come.
