New Delhi, February 5: Responding to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is providing solutions to the challenges emerging in the world. The opposition continued to create a ruckus in the House during the Prime Minister’s speech, and after some time, the opposition members walked out.
Amidst the uproar by the opposition members in the Rajya Sabha, Modi said, “India is providing solutions to the challenges emerging in the world. Today, India is moving towards becoming the third largest economy. Today, India is moving forward with confidence in every sector. Today, the world is struggling to keep up. It is clearly visible that the world is moving towards a new order. It is a matter of happiness that all events are leaning towards India.”
The Prime Minister said that the first 25 years of the 21st century have been completed. The second 25 years will be a powerful path towards a developed India.
He said that in recent times, we have signed agreements with nine major countries. The “mother of all deals” was signed with the European Union. The opposition will have to answer how the country got into such a situation that no country came forward to sign agreements with us. These countries are not signing agreements with India without reason. I used to organize the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gujarat, whose partner country was Japan.
During Modi’s speech, opposition members continued to shout slogans. The Speaker requested them to remain calm and return to their seats.
Prime Minister Modi told the Chairman that, given his age, Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge could continue the sloganeering from his seat.
In his speech, amid the shouting, the Prime Minister said that the President has expressed confidence in India’s bright future and assured development in all sectors.
