GST reform has given new life to people from all sections: Yogi

Gautam Buddha Nagar, September 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the five-day UP International Trade Show at the Expo Mart in Greater Noida on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government.

Prime Minister called upon industrialists from India and abroad to invest in India and Uttar Pradesh. He appealed to domestic traders to adopt the mantra of indigenous products.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed a gathering at the Expo Mart premises. The Prime Minister said that the way industrialists from India and abroad are investing in India, especially Uttar Pradesh, will significantly strengthen India’s economic potential. He called upon industrialists from India and abroad to invest in India and Uttar Pradesh. An environment for setting up industries has been created in India.

Referring to the GST reform, the Prime Minister said that the new GST reform is benefiting everyone, including industries, farmers, the poor, laborers, and children.

He said that before 2014, ordinary citizens had to pay multiple times the tax, which has now been significantly reduced. He explained to the audience by giving examples of items on which the tax has been reduced.

Prime Minister said that our armed forces are constantly demanding indigenous weapons. A defense corridor is being built in Uttar Pradesh, where various defense equipment, including the BrahMos missile, are being manufactured. He said that automatic rifles will soon begin production in Uttar Pradesh with Russian cooperation.

He told industrialists that his government has abolished hundreds of laws that used to result in cases against them for even minor business mistakes. He told industrialists that he also has some expectations from them. He emphasized that products manufactured in India should be of the highest quality.

Modi said that today, the countrymen have realized that the quality of indigenous products is constantly improving. There should be no compromise on quality. Every citizen of the country is connecting with Swadeshi. They want to buy indigenous products. Our traders must also adopt this mantra. They must prioritize what is available in India. The Uttar Pradesh government and the Government of India are with you, providing every assistance. He said that together we will build a developed India and a developed Uttar Pradesh.

Prime Minister told industrialists that we need to increase research investment exponentially. The government has taken necessary steps to achieve this. Everyone must come forward to encourage private investment in research. This is the need of the hour. We must create an ecosystem of indigenous research, indigenous design, and development. Uttar Pradesh also holds tremendous investment potential. The connectivity revolution that has taken place in Uttar Pradesh over the past few years has significantly reduced logistics costs.

He said that Uttar Pradesh has become the state with the most expressways. It also has the highest number of international airports. Two major dedicated corridors are also connected here. Products from many districts of Uttar Pradesh are reaching the international market. He said that Uttar Pradesh is setting new records. Uttar Pradesh has become a hub for the electronics and mobile manufacturing sector. Work is about to begin on a major semiconductor factory.

On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that on behalf of the citizens of Uttar Pradesh, I heartily welcome the world’s most popular politician and the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the arrival of GST reform in Uttar Pradesh.

He said that he is grateful to the Prime Minister for giving the citizens a wonderful Diwali gift by reducing GST. The Prime Minister has taken a very important revolutionary step through GST reform. He said that Uttar Pradesh ranks first in India in small scale industries, handicrafts, and carpet industry.

He said that people from all sections of society have got a new lease of life due to GST reform. This will greatly benefit the industry and business world.

Chief Minister Yogi said that in the last 11 years, efforts have been made to promote Uttar Pradesh’s traditional industries and products, numbering 96,000. He said that through these, more than 20 million citizens and youth are getting employment. He said that after agriculture, small-scale industries are the most employment-producing sector in Uttar Pradesh. Industrial parks are being built by creating land banks for large industries in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh has invited investors from India and abroad. New opportunities for manufacturing, production, and employment have been created here.

He said that the government has planned to develop industrial areas of 100 acres in each district. These areas will be allocated for small-scale industries, skill development, Khadi and Village Industries, and bank offices. He said that Uttar Pradesh has become a global hub for IT, semiconductor, and electronics manufacturing. 55 percent of the country’s mobile phone manufacturing and more than 50 percent of component manufacturing is taking place in Uttar Pradesh. Leading companies from India and abroad in the semiconductor sector are investing in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the Uttar Pradesh government has also given the IT sector the status of an industry.

He said that Uttar Pradesh has connectivity through road, rail and air. It stands at the forefront. Law and order is tight in Uttar Pradesh.

He said that reducing dependence on other countries and better use of indigenous resources is very important for a self-reliant and developed India. The

CM said that we all are receiving the guidance and leadership of the Prime Minister. Because of this, today Uttar Pradesh has emerged from a sick state to a leading state of India and is effectively discharging its role as the growth engine of a developed India.
