The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kunwar Anupam Singh said on Monday that the police received information about the movement of criminal Talib alias Azam Khan (26), son of Ghaffar Khan, resident of Gauriya police station Fardhan, district Kheri, under the Lambhua police station area of ​​Lakhimpur Kheri district.

The SSP further added that the Sultanpur police and Lakhimpur Kheri police jointly cordoned off the area near Diyara bridge last night. In which the accused opened fire on the police team. In self-defense, the police force also opened fire in retaliation, in which the accused was injured by the bullet. The injured criminal was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he was declared dead during treatment. This criminal was a resident of the Fardhan police station in Lakhimpur Kheri district and currently had a reward of 1 lakh rupees announced on his head. Nearly one and a half dozen criminal cases are registered against him.
