Couple commits suicide by jumping in front of a train in Lucknow

Lucknow, January 10: The bodies of a couple were found lying near Alamnagar Railway Station in the Talkatora police station area of โ€‹โ€‹Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. Police arrived on the scene, collected evidence, conducted a forensic examination, and sent the bodies for post-mortem, apprised the police.

The Station in-charge Kuldeep Dubey said on Saturday that a man and a woman committed suicide by jumping in front of a train at the Jalalpur Railway Gate (down line) near Alamnagar Station. After receiving the information, the Talkatora police immediately rushed to the scene and carried out the necessary investigation. The field unit also inspected the scene. During the investigation, based on Aadhaar cards recovered from the scene, the deceased were initially identified as Deepali (25), a resident of Arjunganj, and Suryakant (40), a resident of Nishatganj.

The station in-charge stated that a missing person report for the young woman was filed two days ago at Sushant Golf City Police Station. The young man is married, while the young woman was unmarried. Both worked together in a private office in Sadar. It is suspected that they were in love. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
