The trailer of the film ‘O Romeo’ starring Shahid Kapoor, Tripti Dimri and Nana Patekar was launched in Mumbai, but the event became more talked about for a different reason than the trailer itself. Veteran actor Nana Patekar left the event before the trailer was released, surprising the audience.
According to reports, Nana Patekar arrived at the trailer launch venue on time at around 12 noon. However, the film’s other lead actors, Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri, arrived at the venue about an hour and a half late, around 1:30 pm. It is being reported that Shahid and Tripti were attending the film’s poster launch event at a nearby cinema, which delayed the trailer launch.
After waiting for over an hour, Nana Patekar decided to leave the event before the trailer was released. Following this incident, netizens on social media expressed support for Nana Patekar and also questioned his punctuality.
During the event, the film’s director, Vishal Bhardwaj, responded to the matter from the stage. He said, “Nana may not be here, but I would definitely like to talk about him. I’ve known him for 27 years, and this is the first time we’re working together. We made him wait for about an hour, so he left. As he left, he said in his characteristic style, ‘You made me wait for an hour, so I left.’ That’s why Nana is Nana Patekar.”
Although the trailer launch took place in Nana Patekar’s absence, the incident garnered more headlines than the film’s promotion.
