Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal – Statues of Shyama Prasad, Deendayal and Atal Bihari are installed in the 65-acre Prerna Sthal
Lucknow, December 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Congress party diminished the stature of great personalities who contributed to the country’s development. The BJP government has equally respected and remembered the contributions of Ambedkar, Narasimha Rao, Pranab Mukherjee, Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Atalji. There was an attempt in the country to give all the credit to a single family by diminishing the status of others; the BJP has changed that too.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing a public meeting here on Thursday after inaugurating the newly constructed Rashtriya Prerna Sthal on the occasion of the birth centenary celebrations of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while extending Christmas greetings, said that today, the land of Lucknow is witnessing a new inspiration. December 25 marks the birth anniversary of two great personalities: the birth anniversaries of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya. Today is also the birth anniversary of Maharaja Bijli Pasi. The legacy left by Maharaja Bijli Pasi has been carried forward by our Pasi community. It was a coincidence that Atalji himself issued a postage stamp in the name of Maharaja Bijli Pasi in the year 2000. I pay my respects to these great personalities.
Narendra Modi said that this National Inspiration Site symbolizes the thinking that showed India the path to self-respect and unity. The statues of Mukherjee, Upadhyay, and Atalji are taller than their thoughts.
Reciting Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s poem, “Kadam Milakar…,” Modi said that this National Inspiration Site gives us the message that every step we take is for the nation. Only everyone’s efforts will fulfill the resolve for a developed India. This land had been a collection of garbage for decades. I extend my best wishes to the workers engaged in the construction of Prerna Sthal and CM Yogi’s team.
Modi said that it was Dr Mukherjee who rejected the two heads and two constitutions of India. The BJP government got the opportunity to abolish Article 370. As the first Industry Minister of independent India, he gave the country its first industrial policy. Today we are giving a high priority to the same mantra of self-reliance. Today, goods manufactured in India are reaching the entire world. In UP, the ‘One District One Product’ scheme is progressing successfully. On the other hand, a defence corridor is being built. The world has seen Brahmos. The day is not far when UP will be seen as a defence producer.
Prime Minister Modi said that Deen Dayal Upadhyaya propounded the philosophy of integral humanism, where everyone—body, mind, and intellect—is developed. Efforts should be made to bring every needy person within the ambit of government welfare schemes. This is good governance. This is true secularism. Today, for the first time in India, people are getting pucca houses, electricity, toilets, free medical treatment, and food grains without discrimination. Justice is being accorded to Pandit Deendayal’s ideals. The country has defeated poverty. This was possible because the BJP government prioritized the last person.
Modi said that before 2014, 250 million people were covered by the government’s social security system. Today, 950 million are covered. A large number of people in Uttar Pradesh have also benefited from this. Few people had bank accounts and were unable to get insurance. Insurance schemes were developed. Previously, these poor people could not even think about insurance. Through these schemes, our poor families have benefited approximately 25,000 crore rupees.
Modi said that Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s truly implemented good governance. It was during his government that the foundation for advancing digital work was laid. The Atal government’s telecom policy brought mobile phones and internet to every home. Wherever Atal Bihari Vajpayee is today, he would be pleased that India has become a mobile manufacturing state. Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront in India. Prime Minister Modi also mentioned the Atal government’s efforts regarding roads.
Attacking the Congress, Prime Minister Modi said that we must not forget that a tendency developed to associate every achievement of India with a single family. Statues were erected and schemes were implemented in the name of a single family. The BJP has also freed the country from this tendency. Our government honors everyone’s contribution. Today, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s contribution is being remembered. The BJP developed Ambedkar’s Panchtirtha. The Congress attempted to diminish Sardar Patel’s stature. Today, his grand statue has been installed, commemorating his contribution. A memorial has been built in the name of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Memorials to Maharaja Suheldev and Nishad Raj have been built in Uttar Pradesh.
Prime Minister said that people with nepotism are victims of insecurity. They have a habit of belittling others. Many Prime Ministers were ignored in the Delhi Museum. The BJP government has changed that. No matter how short a Prime Minister’s tenure, they are given equal respect in the Prime Minister’s Museum. Narasimha Rao and Pranab Dada were awarded the Bharat Ratna. Other leaders, including Tarun Gogoi and Mulayam Singh Yadav, received honors during the BJP government.
Modi said, “I am proud to be an MP from Uttar Pradesh. Today, the hardworking people of Uttar Pradesh are writing a new saga of development. Uttar Pradesh, once known for poor law and order, is now writing a new saga of development by developing Ayodhya, Kashi, and other places.”
Prime Minister Modi concluded his speech by raising slogans in praise of the three great personalities.
Defense Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh, Governor Anandiben Patel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of State for Finance and UP BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, and other ministers and leaders of the Uttar Pradesh government were present on the occasion.
This is the Rashtriya Prerna Sthal (National Prerna Sthal), developed on 65 acres in Sector J of the Basant Kunj Scheme in Lucknow, the state capital. Giant bronze statues of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, and former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee have been installed. Each statue is 65 feet tall.
The Rashtriya Prerna Sthal is located on the Hardoi Road, on the banks of the Gomti River in Lucknow. It features a cafeteria, a meditation center, a rally ground, and an auditorium. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated a museum dedicated to the lives of these great personalities.
Prime Minister Modi and other leaders visited this lotus-shaped museum. A statue of Bharat Mata has been placed there. Visitors will get a glimpse of India’s journey over 100 years.
