Lucknow: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on his maiden visit after being re-nominated for the Bharatiya Janata Party [BJP] candidate for the Lok Sabha elections, attacked Congress of blocking compensation for the victims of 1984 anti-Sikh riots and demoralising the morale of Indian Armed Forces by negelecting their modernisation process.

Addressing the Sikh community , Singh said , โ€œCongress governmnent blocked compensation meant for the victims of the 1984 anti- Sikh riots.

Union Home Minister conitnued his attack on Congress by saying , โ€œ The Congress is levelling false charges against the Modi government on Rafale deal. Singh said, โ€œ We dared to purchase the next generation fighter jets which you could not dare to buy them for 30 years and when we are ready to procure rafale jets for the Indian Air Force, you are levelling baseless corruption charges against us.

Addressing the gathering , Singh accused rival political parties of rasing questions over the bravery of the Armed Forces in the wake of IAF anti-terror strike in the Balakot district of Pakistan.

They are asking for the evidence of the air strike conducted by the IAF, and they are even asking how many persons were killed in the air strike. It seems that they are more concerned with Pakistan than India.

Upon his arrival ealier in the day, Union Home Minister said, he has taken variuos steps to transform the city of nawabs to full fill the dreams of former Prime Minister of India Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

He said that Atal ji wanted to see Lucknow as a world class city for which he has taken several moves to make Lucknow liveable and habitable city.
