Varanasi, November 5: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath boarded a cruise from Namo Ghat in Varanasi to witness the festival of ‘Dev Deepawali’, celebrated by lighting lamps on the ghats of Varanasi on Kartik Purnima.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was delighted to see the decoration of lamps on the ghats on Dev Deepawali.
He also gathered information about the ghats from the public representatives standing alongside him, Minister of State with Independent Charge Ravindra Jaiswal and MLA Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari.
While learning about the history of the ghats, the Chief Minister raised his hand several times to acknowledge the greetings of the people.
Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Dev Deepawali festival by lighting a lamp at Namo Ghat. After boarding the cruise, Chief Minister Yogi observed the decoration of lamps and garlands from Namo Ghat, as the cruise slowly moved towards Dashashwamedh Ghat.
Chief Minister expressed his happiness upon seeing the lighting from a distance at Maharaja Chet Singh Fort Ghat.
