Bhadohi, October 10: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the International Carpet Fair at the Expo Mart in Bhadohi on Saturday, October 11. 442 exporters from 67 countries are coming to participate in this carpet fair.
The district administration and the All India Carpet Export Promotion Council have completed all the preparations for the Chief Minister’s program. There will be multiple layers of security arrangements during this time. The International Carpet Fair will start from October 11 and will continue till the 14th.
As per the protocol, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will fly from Lucknow by state helicopter at 9:30 am and will land at the helipad built in Bhikharipur, Bhadohi at 10:20 am.
Later, he will depart by car for the event venue, Expo Mart, at 10:25 am. Arriving at the venue at 10:30 am, he will inaugurate the four-day carpet fair. Buyers from around the world will participate in the fair.
The Chief Minister will then inspect the carpet stalls set up at the inauguration venue and interact with them.
After this, the Chief Minister will depart for Ghazipur. The 50 percent tariff imposed by the United States has worsened the situation in the carpet industry. A certain sadness is being felt among exporters, as 60 percent of Bhadohi’s carpets are exported to the United States.
This expectation is that fewer buyers will arrive from America. Exporters are very excited and hopeful about Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s event. They are confident that after the 50 percent tariff is imposed by the United States, Chief Minister Yogi may announce a bailout package, which will provide relief to the carpet industry.
