CM Yogi takes stock of under-construction four-lane highway in Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur, November 17: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath once again inspected the ground reality of the important four-lane project under construction on Monday.

Chief Minister, who was in Gorakhpur, conducted an on-site inspection of the construction work of the Balapar-Tikariya-Gangi Bazaar four-lane road.

During this, he directed to ensure drainage for the four-lane road and the population of the surrounding villages.

He said that attention should be paid to the leveling of the drain being constructed along the four-lane road so that not only the road but also the water from the surrounding villages can easily drain through it.

Construction of this four-lane road, costing โ‚น 838.05 crore, began in February this year and is targeted for completion by August 2026. The Balapar-Tikariya-Gangi Bazaar four-lane road, with a total length of 16.15 km, is being constructed by the Public Works Department, Division 3.

Chief Minister Yogi conducted a site inspection on Monday and also reviewed its updated progress with the officials.

During the inspection, Chief Minister Yogi asked about the distribution of compensation for the land acquired for the four-lane road. The officials informed that compensation has been given to almost all the people. He also took updated information about the registry.

On this occasion, MLA Mahendra Pal Singh, Vipin Singh along with officials of the administration, police, Public Works Department were present.
