Lucknow, 8 September: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given strict instructions to investigate the recognition and admission in all the educational institutions of the state after the Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University fraud case has come to light.
According to the information, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked authorities to thoroughly examine the recognition and admission of all the universities, colleges and other educational institutions across state. A special investigation team will be formed in each district. Senior administrative officers, police department officials, education department officials will be included in the team. Affidavits will be taken compulsorily from the institutions. The institutions will also have to declare that only recognized courses will be conducted. The list of all courses and acceptance letters will be checked, so that there is no fraud with the students.
According to the information, strict action has been ordered against the institutes which are running courses without recognition. If any irregularities are found in the investigation, then punitive action will be taken against the institute and the students will have to return the entire fee with interest. It has been made mandatory for the investigation committees to submit a consolidated report to the government within 15 days. The Divisional Commissioner will directly monitor the investigation of the committees formed in the districts.
It is worth mentioning that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Eastern Uttar Pradesh region’s organization minister Ghanshyam Shahi and West UP region’s Manoj Nikhra and National Minister Ankit Shukla met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday night. Law courses were being run in Shri Ram Swaroop University without renewing the recognition. The students had also protested against the university regarding all such irregularities.
During the protest, the police brutally lathicharged the students. Many students were injured. Even now those injured students are being treated. Along with taking action against the police officials, after the Revenue Department found irregularities, the illegal constructions of the university have also been bulldozed.
