Lucknow, November 7: A high-speed bullet collided with a parked-bus in the Ashiana police station area of โโLucknow on Friday following which one student riding the bullet was killed and the other was seriously injured. Police arrived at the scene, identified the body, and informed the family about the accident, police said.
The Station in-charge Chhatrapal said that Vaibhav Kumar Jha (17), a resident of Madhuvan Nagar, Alambagh, was a student of the 11th grade at Stella Mary’s School in Ashiana. On Friday, he was going to school on his bullet with his classmate, Shashwat Dev Gautam, a resident of Saryu Sadar Gopalpuri. The bullet collided with a bus parked on the roadside near the school. Both students were seriously injured. With the help of the school administration, the police admitted the students to Lok Bandhu Hospital for treatment, where Vaibhav was declared dead. Shashwat was discharged after treatment.
The station in-charge said that during the investigation, people present at the scene also revealed that the students riding the bullet were speeding. They lost control of the vehicle and collided with the bus, resulting in the accident. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination and further action is being taken.
