Currently, a cutthroat competition is underway between Sunny Deol’s ‘Border-2’ and Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani-3’ at the box office. After earning a strong amount over the weekend, ‘Border-2’ has slowed down a bit during the working days, but the film is still holding strong. On the other hand, ‘Mardaani-3’ is also trying to maintain its hold and is slowly moving ahead.
According to reports, ‘Border-2’ earned Rs 6.69 crore on the 12th day of its release, i.e., the second Tuesday. Interestingly, the film’s earnings remained the same on the 11th day as well, which clearly shows that the film has maintained a steady performance during the weekend as well. With this, the domestic box office collection of this war-drama film starring Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan has reached โน315.10 crore. The film has earned approximately โน392.5 crore worldwide in 12 days.
Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji’s “Mardaani 3” has struggled at the box office since its inception. The film earned โน2.50 crore on its fifth day, slightly better than its โน2.25 crore on its fourth day. However, despite the slight increase, the film’s total collection has reached only โน22.25 crore after five days. This clearly shows that despite its strong characters and franchise identity, “Mardaani 3” has not yet been successful in attracting a large audience.
