Prayagraj, January 14: Bodies of four children missing since Tuesday were found today in a pond about one kilometer away from their home in Ahmedpur Pawan Ganga of Puramufti police station area in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. police informed.
The discovery of the bodies of four children including two real brothers has swelled tension in the entire village. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over this incident and has ordered an investigation.
Two sons of Pradeep Sonkar, resident of Hussainpur Pawan village of Puramufti police station area of โโthe district, Pratik Sonkar 12 years, Prince 10 years, their neighbor Priyanshu Sonkar 11 years son of late Sandeep Sonkar and Rajesh Sonkar’s 19 year old son Karan Sonkar were missing since Tuesday.
According to the police, the bodies of all four children were found in a pond on Wednesday one kilometer away from their home. Upon receiving information about the discovery of the bodies of four children, police and administrative officials arrived at the scene. Police retrieved the bodies from the pond and sent them to the post-mortem house.
The family members say that all four children suddenly went missing at 4 pm on Tuesday. After searching, they informed the Puramufti police station. Police arrived in the village and returned after questioning. The family members are also currently silent.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), City, Manish Kumar Shandilya, stated that the bodies of four children were found in a pond. Prima facie, the cause of death appears to be drowning. However, the exact cause of death will be determined by the post-mortem report.
Upon learning of the incident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences. He has directed district officials to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
