Kolkata, May 15: The Border Security Force (BSF) jawan Purnam Kumar Shaw, a resident of Rishra in Hooghly district of West Bengal, who accidentally crossed the Pakistan border the very next day of the Pulwama attack, was taken into custody by Pak Rangers. Now when he has returned after 22 days of captivity, the details he has given of the inhuman torture he faced in the custody of the Pakistani army are spine-chilling.

According to the BSF sources, the Pakistani army tried everything possible to break the jawan mentally. Purnam told that his eyes were always blindfolded with a black cloth, and for 22 days he was not allowed to close his eyes and sleep even for a moment. Along with this, he was constantly abused and humiliated.

According to sources, the Pakistani army tried to extract BSF deployment and other confidential information from the jawan. An attempt was made to know the personal details and contact numbers of the officers from him, but since Purnam did not have a mobile, the Pakistani Rangers could not get much information.

The jawan was taken to three different places. One of those places was like an airbase, where the sounds of airplanes could be heard clearly. He also told that he was also kept in a guard, but no physical torture was given. Still, the mental torture given to him was no less than torture.

After being released from the clutches of the Pakistani army, Purnam Kumar first had to undergo a medical examination and then BSF officials interrogated him. It was during this interrogation that these shocking information came to light.
