Lucknow, October 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government tells black lies while sitting at a white table. This government is not cleaning rivers, but cleaning the budget. The government’s intentions are not good. These words were made by Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Akhilesh Yadav was addressing journalists at the party headquarters on Wednesday. He said, “Today we have resolved to continuously fight to put Uttar Pradesh on the path of prosperity.”
Taking a dig at the BJP, Akhilesh said, “These people talk good, but do not do good work. When the time for the government to leave is near, they have remembered the cleaning of the Gomti. This government is not cleaning rivers, but cleaning the budget.”
The SP president said that if they come to power, they will honor the late Kedarnath Singh Sathwar by installing his statue on the Gomti Riverfront in Gorakhpur and Lucknow. He said that the BJP is feeding us and you the sugar of swadeshi. Learn from the way America imposed tariffs. You can impose tariffs on China. But these people (BJP) will not do so. Because the BJP is pretending to be swadeshi, while at heart they are foreigners.
Akhilesh said that this government is only plundering farmers’ land and crops. This government has never been honest towards farmers. We, as socialists, have always taken decisions to make farmers prosperous. We used to help farmers, but now no one is helping us.
He targeted the government on the issue of zero tolerance policy in the state and the issue of criminals being killed in encounters. He said, “Are they trying to scare us by giving these encounter statistics? Who knows how many innocent people have been killed. Is this police meant to help or to kill?” Corruption has never been this severe before because you are using the police for political purposes.
Akhilesh said, “They don’t know that their situation is very bad. They are about to return home. This government is about to go. Save Uttar Pradesh from the bull, remove the bull government.”
