Lucknow, February 16: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) while discussing the vote of thanks presented on the Governor’s address in the budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council on Monday.

He described the SP as a party that disrespects constitutional values, Indian culture and faith and only works for the development of its own family. He said that by ending the anarchy and chaos created before 2017, the BJP has transformed Uttar Pradesh from a troubled state into a festive state, and now it is the confluence of development.

In the Legislative Council, Chief Minister Yogi strongly rebuked the main opposition party, the Samajwadi Party, for opposing the Governor’s address during the budget session of the legislature. He said that the Governor is the constitutional head of the state, and his address documents the state government’s achievements and plans. However, the conduct of the Samajwadi Party (SP) is an insult not only to the constitutional head but also to women power, and constitutes contempt.

Chief Minister admonished SP members, advising them not to behave in a manner that would lead future generations in the wrong direction. However, it would be foolish to expect the Samajwadi Party to deliver on the state’s development and constitutional values, as the opposition’s viewpoint has always been negative.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Uttar Pradesh has achieved many accomplishments in his eight and a half years of government. These include a move from crime to law, a transformation from riots to a festive state. This is a journey from problems to solutions and from distrust to trust. This journey is because the 25 crore people of the state deserve their rights. However, governments with narrow agendas played havoc with the people of the state. When the double-engine government was formed, administrative commitment accelerated the state’s development, and today we can say that Uttar Pradesh has become a revenue-surplus state.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making the singing of Vande Mataram mandatory in the House, the Chief Minister said that the Samajwadi Party members glorify invaders, but now New Uttar Pradesh will not tolerate all this. Insulting national symbols is no less than treason. Some people insult Vande Mataram and the tricolor.

Yogi said, I want to ask the Congress and Samajwadi Party why they are protesting the national anthem. SP members support Ghazi, but our government installed a statue of Maharaj Suheldev, the Hindu king who defeated Ghazi, in Chitaura Bahraich and established Raja Suheldev University in Azamgarh.

Chief Minister Yogi, while discussing the SIR, said that today the state has better air connectivity. The state has 16 domestic airports and four international airports. The fifth international airport is ready in Jewar. We will strive to have it operational this month. The state has a better education system. Work on ITI has been done in collaboration with Tata Technology. When there is teamwork, results are achieved. Today, criminals are fearful, farmers are prosperous, and every village has electricity. Uttar Pradesh is moving towards Ram Rajya.

Chief Minister Yogi said in the House that the Samajwadi Party could not speak well about the budget because they have nothing good to offer; the SP promotes caste conflicts, instigates internal conflicts, insults religious beliefs, and is also an attacker of constitutional values. The Chief Minister said that the SIR is being conducted by the Election Commission of India. Governments have no role in it. During this campaign, 28.8 million people in Uttar Pradesh were either found dead or displaced. The SP used to make these people vote by creating fake votes. That’s why they make false claims in the name of Form 7. Their workers are assaulting BLOs. This is an insult to constitutional values. This cannot be accepted in any way.

The development of previous governments was nepotism-oriented – Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi, while discussing the PDA, said that the development of previous governments was nepotism-oriented.

He targeted the opposition, citing the example of JPNIC, saying that 800 crore rupees were spent, yet it remains incomplete. We built a hospital on JP’s birthplace. 1400 crore rupees were spent, yet the Gomti River Front project remains incomplete; it was a mere 300 crore project. They only play politics in the name of Jai Prakash Narayan and Lohia.

Chief Minister Yogi launched a scathing attack on the previous Samajwadi Party government in the House, saying that SP leaders spread anarchy during their tenure. One District One Mafia ruled. Development is guaranteed by rule of law in Uttar Pradesh. This is why the youth are facing an identity crisis. The farmer was forced to commit suicide. Today, all three—water, land, and sky—can be seen in Uttar Pradesh. The first rapid rail in Uttar Pradesh will be inaugurated on February 22nd. The journey from Meerut to Delhi takes just 45 minutes. Today, Uttar Pradesh boasts 22 expressways. Seven of these are operational, five are under construction, while our government is working on 10.

More than 6.2 million houses provided—CM

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that we have provided more than 6.2 million houses. Before 2017, there were numerous complaints about ration distribution. Today, there are no complaints because technology has been utilized. More than 60 million people have risen above the poverty line. If the youth of Uttar Pradesh have been given an opportunity in any sector, they have made a distinct mark. Data is today’s greatest strength. AI is a sector of the country. Provisions have been made for this as well in the budget.

The Chief Minister stated in the House that Uttar Pradesh has 60% youth energy. Work is underway under the “CM Youth Entrepreneur” scheme to enable every youth to become an entrepreneur. We are rapidly progressing to ensure that 100,000 young people become entrepreneurs each year. The first EV unit was established in Lucknow. More than 20,000 startups are operating in Uttar Pradesh. The unemployment rate in the state has dropped from 16% to 2.24%. The budget provides for a playground in every village, a sports college at the divisional level, and the goal is to establish a stadium in the district headquarters. The first sports university has been established in Meerut, where all sports facilities are being provided. Uttar Pradesh has a strong presence in the electric vehicle market. Uttar Pradesh accounts for 19% of vehicle purchases. Uttar Pradesh has over 40% share in three-wheeler vehicles.

CM further stated that today, through ODOP, producers have been connected to the market. The path to employment has opened up for 9.6 million youth in 9.6 million MSME units. A government that doesn’t respect its artisans will face the same fate as the Samajwadi Party. The first requirement for investment is security, the second is convenience, and the third is policy formulation and implementation. Today, Uttar Pradesh has all three. The double-engine government’s acceleration is natural. Previously, there were only 14,000 factories. Since 2017, their number has surpassed 31,000.

He further stated that we have achieved significant success in medical infrastructure. Today, Uttar Pradesh has One District, One Medical College, and One District, One Product. Along with women’s safety, health and education are improving. We have given 175,000 jobs to women alone. There used to be a saying: “Seeing a Samajwadi Party daughter is terrified.” Today, daughters are working night shifts as well. The state,

Chief Minister said that because of the Samajwadi Party, people used to mock Uttar Pradesh as a sick state, but the double-engine government has transformed it. Today, per capita income has tripled. No new taxes have been imposed in the past 8.5 years; tax evasion has been curbed. Today, the state is revenue surplus. Before 2017, there was no clear policy for agriculture. Farmers were merely a vote bank. Today, costs are lower and production is higher. We are making farming income-based. Today, farmers are partners in development. All funds are transferred directly to the farmers’ accounts through DBT. Sugarcane farmers are being paid on time.

Concluding his speech, the Chief Minister thanked the Governor and expressed gratitude to the House. During the speech, the House erupted in applause and chants of “Jai Shri Ram” were heard.
