Lucknow, May 26: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated projects worth Rs 3300 crore during a program organized in Lok Bhavan auditorium on Monday. On this occasion, he said that there will be no shortage of teachers in basic schools.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the newly constructed buildings and additional dormitories of 139 upgraded Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools of the state under the Basic Education Council. Along with this, CM Yogi also laid the foundation stone of 43 Chief Minister Model Composite Schools and 66 Chief Minister Abhyudaya Composite Schools.

During this, he transferred an amount of Rs 1,200 per student to their guardian’s bank account through DBT for purchasing dress, sweater, school bag, shoes-socks and stationery.

Before 2017, schools were dominated by dilapidated buildings, dirt and disorder – Yogi Describing basic education as the foundation of society and nation, Chief Minister Yogi said that it is the strongest weapon to shape the future of children. He said that with programs like Operation Kayakalp, Chief Minister Composite School and Nipun Assessment, Uttar Pradesh is creating a new history in the field of education.

He said that before 2017, the schools of Basic Education Council were dominated by dilapidated buildings, dirt and disorder. There was a shortage of students and dropout rate was high. But Operation Kayakalp changed this picture. Today almost all the schools of the state have joined this campaign and the remaining 2-3 percent schools will also come under the purview of Kayakalp this year. Facilities like toilets, drinking water, playgrounds, smart classes, and digital libraries are now available in these schools, as a result of which the number of students in schools has reached 800-1200.

He said that this is a new model of education, which is providing children with quality education and opportunities for holistic development.

The teacher and student ratio will be maintained at all costs – Chief Minister

The Chief Minister said that there will be no shortage of teachers. There will be adequate teachers in every school, so that children get quality education. He suggested including B.Ed and M.Ed students in the Nipun Assessment Program, so that they get field experience and they can get acquainted with modern facilities like smart class and digital library.

Chief Minister Yogi, describing the summer camp as a medium for the overall development of children, directed to include activities like sports, music, dance, drama and yoga in it. He said that training should start in every school from now for International Yoga Day on June 21. Implement the yoga protocol of the Ministry of AYUSH and promote indoor activities to relieve children from stress.

He told about the plan to organize school sports and cultural competitions at the block, district, division and state level in November-December, so that the talent of the children can be honed.

One Chief Minister Composite School will be established in every assembly constituency.

Chief Minister announced to set up one Chief Minister Composite School in every assembly constituency. He said that these schools, built at a cost of Rs 25-30 crore, will provide all facilities from pre-primary to senior secondary in a single campus. With science, computer lab, stadium, and multipurpose hall, these schools will be a new model of education.

He said that these schools will be developed on the lines of Atal Residential Schools which will give all the facilities to the children under one roof.

Yogi praised the scheme of providing Rs 1200 per student for uniforms, bags, shoes, socks, and stationery to more than 1.5 crore children through DBT. It is the responsibility of parents and teachers that this amount is spent only on the needs of the children. Teachers and principals should go door to door and connect children of 5-14 years to school. No child in the village should be deprived of school.

CM Yogi inaugurated various programs and projects of Basic Education Council. On this occasion, CM Yogi inaugurated smart classes in 7,409 schools, ICT labs in 5,258 schools, distribution of 51,667 tablets to teachers, digital library in 503 PM Shri schools, educational broadcast studio established in State Educational Technical Institute, Nipun Plus app for smart assessment of students of class 3 to 12, summer camp innovation in all council upper primary and composite schools.

Along with this, CM Yogi honored 05 teachers who performed excellently in Nipun assessment, released the books ‘Sarathi’ and ‘Anurupan’ created by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).

During this, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Basic Education Deepak Kumar along with many officers and dignitaries were present.
