Prayagraj, 22 August: The Allahabad High Court has rejected the bail plea of โโShivam Dubey alias Dalal, accused in the infamous Bikaru case of Kanpur. In view of the wrong information given by the accused in the court, the court has said that the accused will now be able to file a bail application again only after a certain period.
Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamsheri heard Shivam’s bail plea. Shivam is accused of carrying out the incident along with the main accused Vikas Dubey in which 8 policemen were killed.
During the hearing, the Additional Government Advocate told the court that a wrong affidavit has been filed on behalf of the accused. In which it is said that there is no other case against him. Whereas a case is registered against him under the Gangster Act and he has also been sentenced in this case on 5 September 2023.
The court said that there is no possibility that the accused was not aware of this, yet the criminal history was hidden. Rejecting the bail plea, the court said that the bail plea of โโthe accused will not be considered for a certain period.
