Ayushmann Khurrana’s high-cost film ‘Thamma’ struggling at BO, EDED somehow manages to recover its making cost

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s horror comedy ‘Thamma’ is struggling to maintain its presence at the box office. Audiences are liking the film’s unique feel, however, after the weekend’s shine, its earnings are now showing a slight slowdown. Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic drama ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ is pitted against it and Monday proved to be a tough test for both the films.

‘Thamma’ Box Office Report

The media tracker Sacnilk’s figures show that ‘Thamma’ earned Rs 4.25 crore on the 7th day of its release. This was the weakest day of the film so far. Earlier, the film had collected Rs 12.6 crore on the sixth day and Rs 13.1 crore on the fifth day. Overall, Thama’s seven-day earnings have reached โ‚น95.55 crore. To surpass the reported โ‚น145 crore budget, the film will need to continue its strong momentum, otherwise the journey could be difficult.

‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ Box Office Report:

This love story starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa is also struggling to meet the weight of expectations at the box office. The film’s collection on the seventh day was โ‚น3.35 crore. Over the weekend, it earned โ‚น7 crore on the sixth day and โ‚น6.25 crore on the fifth. The film’s total collection now stands at โ‚น44.85 crore whereas the making budget of the film is โ‚น 25 crore. This box office battle continues, but both films will need further audience appreciation to move ahead. The coming days will determine who will survive and who will be left behind.
