‘Son of Sardar 2’ Box Office Report There was a lot of buzz about the much-awaited sequel of ‘Son of Sardar’, ‘Son of Sardar 2’, but the initial earnings were less than expected.
According to the report of Sacnilk, the film has earned only Rs 6.75 crore on the first day. The budget of the film is said to be around 80 to 90 crores, in such a situation the pace of earnings can become a matter of concern for producers. Currently, the makers are hoping that the number of viewers will jump over the weekend and the collection will improve.
Mrunal Thakur, who is playing the role of Rabia in the film, is seen with Ajay Devgan for the first time in ‘Son of Sardar 2’. The pair is getting a good response from the audience. The film includes many actors who add a great tadka of comedy and drama. There was a lot of excitement among the moviegoers about ‘Dhadak 2’, the sequel of Jhanvi Kapoor’s debut film ‘Dhadak’. However, on the first day, the film earned Rs 3.35 crore, which is almost half as compared to ‘Son of Sardar 2’. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri starrer presents an emotional love story, which raises a serious issue of caste discrimination still prevalent in society. Though lagging behind in earnings, ‘Dhadak 2’ has received better reviews and appreciation than ‘Son of Sardaar 2’.
