Fatehpur, November 28: The Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav visited the home of the deceased Lekhpal and offered condolences to the family and assured them of justice late Friday evening in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh,
The SP National President Akhilesh Yadav met with the family of deceased Lekhpal ( revenue officer) Sudhir Kumar in Khajuha town, within the Bindki police station area. He provided immediate financial assistance of two lakh rupees to the family and, with the Lok Sabha elections approaching, appealed to the state government for financial assistance of one crore rupees for the bereaved family. Late that evening, he unexpectedly arrived at Sudhir’s home to console his mother and sister.
He stated that this death was not an accident but the result of systemic negligence and harassment by officials. He assured the family that they were not alone. This fight is for employees across the state. The culprits, including the Bindki Sub-Divisional Magistrate, will no longer be spared.
Describing the incident as extremely serious, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the BJP government.
He alleged that the BJP has adopted a strategy of cutting votes at losing booths in Bihar and is now harassing the public in Uttar Pradesh by hastily filing FIRs.
Targeting the Yogi government, he said that the government is resorting to lies while ‘Sanatan’ remains steadfast in truth.
