Ajay Devgan’s ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ begins struggling as weekday starts

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s film ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ has performed well at the box office in the first three days of its release. Despite a slow start on the opening day, the film picked up pace over the weekend and saw a massive jump in earnings. On the other hand, South superstar Dulquer Salmaan’s film ‘Kantha’ failed to make much of the weekend. 

‘De De Pyaar De 2’ box office report According to Sacnilk data, this romantic comedy-drama, released on November 14, opened with ₹8.75 crore on the first day. The earnings jumped to ₹12.25 crore on the second day and on the third day the film grossed ₹13.75 crore but on the first of Monday, the earnings of the movie witnessed big drop as it collected only ₹ 2.3 crore ( till 5pm). The total collection of the film has reached ₹34.75 crore in three days. Along with Ajay Devgan and Rakul Preet, R Madhavan is also seen in an important role in the film. 

Box office report of ‘Kantha’ In comparison, Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kantha’ remained stable till the third day, but despite the weekend, there was no big jump in the earnings. The film did business of Rs 4.35 crore on the first day, Rs 5 crore on the second day and again Rs 4.35 crore on the third day. The total box office collection of ‘Kantha’ in three days was approximately ₹ 13.22 crore.

On the one hand, ‘De De Pyaar De-2’ heated up the box office on the weekend, whereas ‘Kantha’ could not make a big lead despite maintaining its pace.
