Ahmedabad, June 18: So far, Deoxyribonucleic acidย (DNA) samples of 208 dead have been matched in the Ahmedabad plane crash. Out of these, a total of 173 bodies have been handed over to the relatives.
Civil Hospital Superintendent Dr Rakesh Joshi told in a media briefing on Wednesday that 14 families will accept the bodies of their relatives in the near future, while 12 families are waiting for DNA matching of other relatives.
He told that out of the 173 bodies handed over, 131 are Indian citizens, 4 Portuguese, 30 British citizens, 1 Canadian and 6 non-passengers.
Dr Joshi also shared a detailed description of the bodies handed over.
