Ahmedabad plane crash: PM Modi holds high level meeting, gives needful guidelines

Ahmedabad, June 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ahmedabad on Friday morning and visited the accident site. During this, he took detailed information about the accident from the officials.

Prime Minister Modi inspected the medical hostel and mess building damaged during the plane crash. He met the injured admitted in Ahmedabad Civil Hospital and inquired about their well-being and consoled their families. The Prime Minister also met the doctors and healthcare workers injured in the accident and inquired about the condition of the patients from the doctors treating them.

After this, the Prime Minister held a high level meeting in Ahmedabad and gave necessary guidelines regarding the post-accident situation.

It is worth mentioning that the Tata-owned Air India’s ‘171 Boeing 787-8’ has crashed shortly after taking off for London from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday. Air India has confirmed that 241 people have died in the heart-wrenching plane crash that took place yesterday afternoon in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The official cause of the accident is not yet known.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), engaged in the rescue operation, said that more than 81 bodies have been recovered till around 3 am today. 10 teams are on the spot.
