Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan’s film ‘They Call Him OG’ released in theaters on September 25 and on the very first day, it surpassed big films like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’, and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chava’ at the box office. However, the film’s performance on the second day little down, falling to less than half of its first day’s figures.
The film had a strong opening on the Thursday, surpassing many big films. However, the second day box office figures showed a slight decline in earnings.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned โน 19.25 crore on the second day, compared to โน63.75 crore on the first day. As of now, “They Call Him OG” earned around โน 9.67 Cr India net on its third day ( on 1st Saturday, it is not a complete figure) for all languages. Furthermore, the film had already earned โน21 crore from pre-sales. Thus far, “They Call Him OG” has grossed a total of โน113.67 crore in India.
“They Call Him OG” marks Emraan Hashmi’s debut in the Telugu industry, and his arrival has been a strong one. Emraan’s performance, along with Pawan Kalyan’s, has been highly praised by both audiences and critics. Emraan plays the villain in the film, and his powerful portrayal drew applause and whistles from the audience. The film’s climax was also well-received. It will be interesting to see how the film continues to impact the box office.
