Sonbhadra, January 4: The Sonbhadra police arrested a Muslim guy on Sunday for hurting religious sentiments on social media and sending obscene posts to Hindu girls, informed police.
The superintendent of police (SP) Abhishek Verma said that on Saturday, a complaint was received through the social media platform X that Muhammad Kaif, son of Javed Ali, resident of village Khairahi, Karma police station, was sending obscene and abusive messages to Hindu girls’ mobile phones through social media and making objectionable and derogatory comments against Hindu deities.
The SP apprised that in this matter, a case was registered under the IT Act at Karma police station and after investigating the matter, the accused, Mohammad Kaif, son of Javed Ali, was immediately arrested. Legal action is being taken in the matter.
