UP ATS arrests two Bangladeshi involved in anti- national activities

Lucknow, 12 March: The UP Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Friday arrested two Bangladeshis citizens involved in anti-national activities from Saharanpur. They are both father and son.

ATS ADG GK Goswami said that two Bangladeshi citizens named Tanveer and his father Omar Mohammad Usmani, who were living illegally in India, have been nabbed. It was reported that the accused Tanveer, along with his colleagues, is trying to flee India to Bangladesh.

โ€œAfter this, the ATS team was activated and both the Bangladeshis were arrested near the Muzaffarpur Masjid in Saharanpur. Fake Aadhaar cards, identity cards, PAN cards and passports have been recovered from their possession. They have connections to Lucknow, Saharanpur and Aligarh,โ€ added UP ATS ADG GK Goswami.

โ€œAfter arresting these two, they are being brought to Lucknow. Here ATS will file a case against them and present them in court for remand,โ€ Goswami said.
