Firozabad, April 17: The Tundla Tehsildar of Firozabad district has accused the District Magistrate of exploitation, harassment, and corruption, urging the Chief Minister to order an impartial probe and remove him from his post.
The Tundla Tehsildar Rakhi Sharma held a press conference late Thursday night, in which she leveled several serious allegations against the DM Ramesh Ranjan.
She alleged that the DM and his OSD are involved in corruption, and that all rules and regulations have been flouted through them.
She stated that an investigation into a corruption case came to her, in which she was subjected to unethical pressure to file a negative report. Her salary was withheld and she was put on leave. When I appealed to the High Court against the withholding of my salary, the treasury was opened at night and my salary was sent.
Rekha Sharma further told that a false affidavit was filed in the High Court. Unethical investigations are being conducted into my judicial work. Illegal demands were made of me. I was harassed.
Tehsildar Rakhi Sharma claimed that the District Magistrate’s OSD, Shailendra Sharma, is responsible for extorting money from all the district officials and passing it on to the District Magistrate.
Sharma alleged that she gave him a mobile phone worth โน 1.75 lakh on November 4. I have all the evidence of this. This is a matter of investigation.
She also claimed that leave for any officer in the district is approved from the District Magistrate’s office, so that all the officers can be summoned there and unethical pressure can be exerted on them.
Tehsildar Rakhi Sharma has demanded that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath investigate the entire matter, remove District Magistrate Ramesh Ranjan, and take action against the culprits.
