Guwahati, April 01: The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Assam on a day-long visit on Thursday, April 2, further intensifying the Congress’s election campaign in Assam. During this, he will address public meetings in Bokajan and Titabar.
This visit comes at a time when Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar have already stepped up their election campaign in the state.
As per the scheduled programme, Rahul Gandhi will depart from Delhi on Thursday morning by a special plane and arrive at Dimapur Airport. From there, he will travel by helicopter to Bokajan in Karbi Anglong district, where he will address a public meeting.
Following the Bokajan rally, Rahul Gandhi will address another important public meeting in Titabar, Jorhat district, where he will interact with voters in Upper Assam. At the end of the day’s engagements, he is expected to return to Delhi by a special flight from Jorhat.
