Ayodhya, March 19: On the completion of the construction of the grand temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, the city of Lord Shri Ram in Uttar Pradesh, on the first day of Chaitra Navratri and on the auspicious occasion of Sanatan Nav Samvatsara (Vikram Samvat 2083), President Droupadi Murmu installed the Shri Ram Yantra here.
This Shri Ram Yantra was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the second floor of the Janmabhoomi Temple during the ‘Abhijit Muhurta’ (highly auspicious 48-minute time window) by Vedic Acharyas after chanting mantras and performing rituals.
President Droupadi Murmu reached the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, where she first offered puja and aarti to Lord Shri Ram Lalla before completing the installation of the sacred “Shri Ram Yantra.” With the rituals performed in full, the temple witnessed a historic moment as chants of Lord Shri Ram reverberated across the complex, marking a new chapter in the construction of the grand temple.
Present on the occasion were Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, Mata Amritanandamayi Amma ji from Kerala, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Treasurer of the Shri Ram Temple Trust Govind Dev Giri, revered saints, and over seven thousand dignitaries from across the country and abroad.
It is noteworthy that President Droupadi Murmu is on a three-day spiritual tour of Uttar Pradesh since Thursday. In this regard, the President arrived in Ayodhya today. Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the President at Maharishi Valmiki Airport. She then proceeded to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. After completing her program in Ayodhya, the President will depart for Mathura, the city of Krishna, where she will visit the Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan. The following day, on March 20, she will meet Saint Premananda Maharaj and visit other spiritual and philosophical sites. Security arrangements have been tightened for the President’s visit to Uttar Pradesh.
