‘Amma’ Amritanandamayi reaches Ayodhya with over 1100 devotees

Ayodhya, March 18: The spiritual leader ‘Amma’ Amritanandamayi has reached Ayodhya with more than 1100 of her devotees. She will participate in the ‘Varsha Pratipada Mahotsav’ to be organized at the Ram temple on Thursday. Amritanandamayi visited the entire Ram temple complex, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai informed.

The General Secretary of the Trust, Champat Rai on Wednesday said that Mata Amritanandamayi has reached Ayodhya with more than 1100 of her devotees. Today, along with the patron of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Dineshchandra, Amritanandamayi inspected the entire Ram temple complex.

Rai said that on the first day of the New Year, before the program at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple on Thursday on Varsha Pratipada, there will be a gathering of volunteers around the residence of the invited guests. The Sangh’s branch will be held, and along with the flag salutation, the first Sarsanghchalak will be saluted. This salutation is performed in honor and memory of the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Canteens have been arranged at eight locations for the invited dignitaries. Two main entrances have been designated for entry: in front of the Birla Dharamshala and at the Rang Mahal barrier.

Regarding accommodation arrangements, he stated that distinguished visitors from eastern Uttar Pradesh will stay east of the temple, while accommodation for invitees from Uttarakhand, Meerut, and Braj region has been arranged in the areas surrounding the temple, including Ramghat and Dorahi Kuan. Accommodation for construction associates arriving by bus from outside has been arranged around Chudamani Square and in Tirtha Kshetra Puram.

He also stated that a large number of workers responsible for the temple movement and fundraising have been invited, he also added that due to space constraints, many workers could not be invited.

The General Secretary also stated that entry will be allowed until 10:00 a.m., and invitees will be allowed to have darshan after the program concludes at 1:45 p.m. Special darshan passes will not be issued for this day, but regular darshan will continue. The darshan period has been extended since Navratri.

He also stated that invitees will have refreshments and meals at the accommodation before entering, and will be able to do so upon returning. Snacks have also been arranged at the venue. Special attention has been given to those observing fasts.

Rai apprised that those who wish can enter the temple on the same day, or else stay and visit the next day.
