Auraiya, March 10: An AI-generated video of Prime Minister Modi went viral in Auraiyaโs Bela police station area, leading to the arrest of youth Sumit Pal for posting the objectionable clip.
On Monday, following the instructions of the Superintendent of Police (SP), the Bela police team nabbed the accused, Sumit Pal (19 years), son of Vedram Pal, resident of Purva Bhawan, Post Galli, Bela police station.
According to the police, the accused had posted an AI-generated objectionable video of the Prime Minister on social media. Taking cognizance of the matter, the police arrested him, registered a case, and initiated further legal action. In this case, FIR No. 42/2026 has been registered at Bela police station under sections 356(3) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and 67 of the IT Act.
