Lucknow, 20 February: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today, on the last day of the budget session of the Vidhan Sabha, mentioned in detail the achievements of his government, the allocated budget and future plans in the House.
In addition, making a big announcement in the House, he said that Shiksha Mitras working in the council schools of the state will be given 18 thousand rupees and instructors will be given 17 thousand rupees from April 2026.
He said that Kasturba Balika Vidyalayas for poor girls will be strengthened further and a provision of 580 crore rupees has been made for this. He said that the government is helping the needy schools.
“We’ve reduced the dropout rate,” the Chief Minister said, detailing plans to promote girl education and improve council schools in the state. “During the Samajwadi Party’s rule, the dropout rate was around 6. Today, we have brought it down to 0.3. The goal is to expand composite schools to eight thousand Nyaya Panchayats. First, one in each assembly constituency, then in each development block, and then to every Nyay Panchayat. Such schools will provide education up to grade 12 and skill development training under one roof.
Referring to the government’s facilities in schools, the Chief Minister said that previously, girls used to drop out of school due to the lack of toilets and drinking water. Now, these facilities are being provided in every school. This has reduced the dropout rate.
He recounted an incident in which a girl was going to school wearing a torn kurta, barefoot, and carrying a torn bag. When we offered her money, she refused. Then, we made arrangements to provide two pairs of dresses, shoes, and a bag to every girl across the state. Later, we started providing these to all children. Our government did not consider anyone’s caste, creed, or religion when providing these benefits.
