Uttar Pradesh board exams to begin from Wednesday

Lucknow, February 17: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will conduct its 2026 High School and Intermediate Board Examinations from February 18 to March 12, 2026. This year, a record 53,37,778 students are registered, including 27,61,696 high school candidates and 25,76,082 intermediate candidates.

  • Technology Integration:
  • Each exam hall equipped with two CCTV cameras with voice recorders, routers, DVRs, and high-speed internet
  • Live monitoring via webcasting throughout the exam period
  • Strong rooms under 24Ă—7 CCTV surveillance
  • Online monitoring of question paper distribution and answer sheet sealing rooms
    Administrative Arrangements
  • 8,033 center administrators, external administrators, and static magistrates appointed
  • 1,210 sector magistrates and 427 zonal magistrates deployed
  • 69 divisional and 440 district-level flying squads formed
  • State-level observers assigned for all 75 districts and 18 divisions

  • Reserve question paper sets secured in double-lock cupboards
  • Answer sheets feature four-color numbering, council logo, and micro “UPMSP”

  • For the first time, UP Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad exams will also be monitored online
  • Strict enforcement under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024
  • Official Statement State Minister for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi inaugurated the state-level control room in Lucknow, emphasizing that the government is committed to technology-driven transparency and strict action against malpractice.
  • She extended best wishes to all students, urging them to appear with confidence, free from stress and fear, and to treat the exams as a positive opportunity.
  • Senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma, Secretary Chandra Bhushan Singh, DG School Education Monika Rani, Special Secretary Umesh Chandra, and Director (Secondary Education) Mahendra Dev were present at the event.
