Pratapgarh, February 15: A Bharat Petroleum outdoor advertisement board (OAB) suddenly collapsed and fell directly on a car killing the Samajwadi party leader on Sunday afternoon in Pratapgarh.
However, it was being erected using a JCB at the Bharat Petroleum Pump on the Amethi Road under the Antu police station area in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.
The Antu police station in-charge stated that Lal Bahadur Yadav (48), a resident of Babuganj Bazaar, was driving towards Chilbila when the heavy petrol pump billboard suddenly fell directly on his car. The accident was so severe that he died on the spot. Upon receiving information about the incident, Antu police, with the help of locals, exhumed the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police are investigating the matter. Lal Bahadur Yadav had previously contested the Antu city president election from the Samajwadi Party ticket.
The station in-charge stated that the matter is being probed.
