Noida, February 14: The bodies of a couple were found in a parked-car on Saturday near Salarpur village in the Sector 39 police station area, told police.
The police informed that the deceased have been identified as Sumit, 32, son of Rajveer, a resident of Trilokpuri, Delhi, and Rekha, 26, daughter of Devchand, a resident of Salarpur Sector 101.
Police arrived at the scene after getting the information about the incident and took custody of the bodies and sent them for the autopsy.
According to police officials, the two were in love and, for some reason, committed suicide by shooting themselves. Police have informed the families of the deceased.
Inspector-in-Charge of Sector 39 Police Station, DP Shukla, stated that on Saturday afternoon, police received information about the bodies of a young man and a young woman lying in a car with Delhi registration number near Sector 107.
He said that upon arriving at the scene and investigating, police discovered that both had died. The young man and woman in the car had been shot in the head. A pistol was found in the boy’s hand. The car was locked from inside.
He stated that their families have been informed. A forensic team inspected the scene. The bodies have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
He apprised that prima facie, this appears to be a case of suicide. Police investigation revealed that the two were in love. Police suspect that they committed suicide by shooting themselves for some reason.
This incident on Valentine’s Day has created a sensation in the area.
