Ballia, February 12: The Ballia Police has arrested the 33-year-old teacher, posted at the Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), accused of molesting a class eight girl student.
A teacher at a Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) in Ballia has been found guilty of a heinous act that shattered the guru-shishya tradition.
An accused teacher Nityanand Upadhyay, a resident of Chandipur Khurd, Raje Sultanpur police station in Ambedkar Nagar district, works as a teacher at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Jira Basti, adjacent to the city. He is accused of harassing an eighth-grade student for a long time. He raped her by threatening her, and the student, later informed her family about the indecent act. The family filed a complaint at the Sukhpura police station on Wednesday.
Subsequently, the police came into action upon learning of this matter. A police team was deployed to arrest the accused teacher, Nityanand Upadhyay.
The Sukhpura police station in-charge Ratnesh Dubey said on Thursday that a case had been filed against the teacher for raping a student. A team had been deployed to arrest him. In this sequence, the accused, Nityanand Upadhyay, son of Ashok Kumar, was arrested on Thursday. After his arrest, the accused teacher was produced before the court, from where he was sent to jail.
