Kanpur Lamborghini crash: Gutka baron’s son Shivam Mishra held, produced before court

Kanpur, February 12: The Kanpur police arrested Shivam Mishra, son of a tobacco businessman, from his residence in Arya Nagar on Thursday in the Gwaltoli area of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with the Lamborghini car collision.

The accused was presented before the court in the presence of a heavy police presence. According to the police, the investigation is ongoing and other aspects of the incident are being probed.

As was seen in the video, the accused Shivam was wearing a Vigo at the time of his arrest. Police and relatives escorted him to the court.

It is noteworthy that on the afternoon of February 8, Shivam Mishra, the only son of tobacco businessman KK Mishra, hit a motorcyclist with his Lamborghini car on VIP Road. As the matter escalated, a case was registered against unknown persons at the Gwaltoli police station late at night. Due to the high-profile nature of the case, Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal added Mishra’s name to the FIR and placed Station House Officer Santosh Kumar Gaur under suspension 24 hours later for negligence in the case.

On February 10, businessman KK Mishra arrived at the police station and recorded his statement. On February 11, the alleged driver, Mohan, appeared in court, but the judge did not consider him an accused. Subsequently, today, the police arrested Shivam Mishra from his home in Aryanagar.

Giving details of the case, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central, Atul Srivastava, stated that five police teams were conducting raids to arrest the accused, Shivam Mishra. Meanwhile, information was received that the accused, Shivam Mishra, had arrived in Kanpur. Acting on this information, the police arrested him and presented him before the court.

Meanwhile, Shivam Mishra’s lawyer, Narendra Kumar Yadav, has criticized the police’s actions. He stated that the police have falsely implicated Shivam. He was not driving the car at the time.
