Ghaziabad, February 4: Three minor sisters living in a society in the Tila Mod police station area of โโGhaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, committed suicide by jumping from the 9th floor of their society at around 2 am last night.
Police arrived at the scene after getting information about the incident and took possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
Prima facie, police suspect that the three played online games and committed suicide due to pressure to complete tasks. Police are probing the case keeping all aspects in mind.
Inspector Ravi Baliyan, in-charge of Tila Mod police station, said that around 2 am, police received information that three minor sisters, Nishika, 16, Prachi, 14, and Pakhi, 16, living in a society in the police station area, had jumped from the 9th floor of their flat. When police arrived at the scene and investigated, they discovered that all three sisters had died.
He apprised that said the police had taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. The father was an online trader. During the investigation, police learned that all three girls played online games. Police suspect they committed suicide due to pressure to complete tasks.
According to police, all three had stopped going to school after COVID. Police are investigating the case, taking all aspects into consideration.
