Lucknow, February 03: The Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has called the introduction of American agricultural products into the Indian market anti-farmer. He targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government on this issue on his social media account.
Akhilesh wrote in his post that opening the Indian market to American agricultural products and food grains is a betrayal of 70% of our country’s population who depend on agriculture for their livelihood. BJP members and their allies were agents of foreigners even before independence and are still so today.
Yadav wrote that the BJP members and their allies who talk about self-reliance and Swadeshi should go among the public and tell how much commission they have taken for defrauding the country’s economy.
Akhilesh Yadav added on micro blogging site X that this will severely impact not only farmers but also the lower middle class and middle class, as it will create a new class of profiteers and middlemen in food and agricultural products, making all food items even more expensive. The BJP will also collect donations from these companies, making food and agricultural products even more expensive.
Ex CM said this will gradually reduce the farming and income of our farmers, forcing them to sell their land to the wealthy and corporates. Land grabbing is the ultimate goal of the BJP and its allies.
