Mirzapur, February 1: The alleged mastermind of the Gym Jihad case Imran in Mirzapur was granted 30 hours of police remand following which the police intensified the investigation. To uncover the mysteries, the police team took the accused on a 600-km journey during the remand period.

During the interrogation, the police obtained several crucial information and documents, which are being thoroughly investigated.
According to police sources, the arrest of other accused, including the absconding Lucky, is also possible soon.
The Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), City, Ritesh Singh, stated that on Friday, Imran was released from jail for medical examination. After preliminary questioning, he was taken to the rural police station. In the afternoon, the rural police station in-charge Amit Mishra and the SOG team took the accused by road to Lucknow. The police took him to his office near the police headquarters in Gomti Nagar, where several important documents were seized.
After recovering the documents, the police team left for Mirzapur late at night. During interrogation on Saturday, he was questioned extensively about funding, religious conversion, and the recovered documents. The accused’s answers to many questions were evasive. Before the end of his remand period, he was again medically examined and produced in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Rahul Singh and sent to jail.
